As the Director of Photography for the Middlesex Fashion Show 2018, I had the privilege of capturing the essence of fifteen meticulously curated fashion design and fashion textiles student collections. Presented in the iconic Barbican conservatory on June 1, the showcase featured graduates shortlisted by industry luminaries, including fashion designers Daniel W. Fletcher and Louise Gray. This event highlighted Middlesex University's commitment to nurturing innovation and cultivating creative roots. The legacy of MDX alumni, such as Brian Kirkby, Zowie Broach, Stevie Stewart, David Holah, Ashish Gupta, Christopher Raeburn, and Martine Rose, underscores the impact of Middlesex's forward-thinking approach. My role as Director of Photography aimed to visually convey the perfect balance of textiles and design, capturing the dynamic intersection of self-expression and innovation that defines Middlesex's fashion legacy.
