2 month running exhibition about how Hennessy is woven into the fabric of underground UK culture. (Editor)
Embark on a visual journey into the heart of London's vibrant Grime scene with 'Hennessy: For The Culture,' an immersive installation that I had the privilege of editing for the duration of the Get Up, Stand Up Now exhibition at Somerset House. I brought together the rich history and influence of UK's Grime scene through expertly crafted videos. The installation unfolds the origins and evolution of black British music, specifically exploring the deep connection between Hennessy and the Grime genre. Through exclusive interviews, artist features, and archival Hennessy imagery, the exhibition captures the essence of 50 years of black creativity in Britain. Delve into the synergy between Hennessy, hip-hop, and Grime, witnessing how this 250-year-old cognac brand has seamlessly woven itself into the fabric of musical expression, resonating across generations. 'Hennessy: For The Culture' stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of black music, narrated through the lens of Grime and brought to life by its visual storytelling.
